Summary

An industry leading European supplier for railway electrification is looking to recruit a Carbon and Energy Specialist to join their team in Derby.

Responsibilities To lead by example, working with Senior Managers to develop and work towards a carbon reduction plan aiming to deliver projects in a carbon neutral way. Develop a robust approach to carbon measurement throughout the company meeting the needs of all stakeholders. To identify industry best practice relating to carbon reduction. To create an innovation culture around carbon reduction using internal input from within the company. To develop a communications plan that engages all in the business to understand their role in the Carbon Reduction programme. To establish measures and metrics that help the business regularly track its progress on the Carbon Reduction Programme. To ensure carbon performance features appropriately in our bid submissions and tendering process. To review research within the industry to inform our strategy. To support the business units to help them understand what they can do to reduce their carbon footprint. Skills / Qualifications Educated to at least degree level in carbon management or similar discipline. Minimum 2 years' experience in leading change programmes within a large business (with preferable rail industry experience). Willingness to learn. Excellent IT knowledge required including use of a variety of software and systems to analyse and produce data reporting. Strong management and organisational skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels within the business and the ability to think creatively. Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple stakeholders across the business and industry. Good relationship building skills. Ability to travel to promote the role and responsibilities within the company.
