Nurture Teacher (Autism Specialist KS4) Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with autism? We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurture Teacher to work in a leading SEN school that specializes in supporting students with autism, aged 11 to 18. This role is offered through a reputable agency and comes with a competitive daily rate of £150-£250 per day, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with autism and additional learning needs. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, focusing on emotional, social, and academic growth. Work closely with teaching assistants and the wider multidisciplinary team to create individualised learning plans (IEPs). Use a nurture-based approach to develop students' self-esteem, communication skills, and independence. Implement and contribute to the school's holistic approach to learning, promoting well-being and positive behaviour. Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience working in a SEN setting, specifically with students on the autism spectrum. Strong knowledge of autism-specific strategies, sensory needs, and communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton, or TEACCH). Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships with students. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents. Why Join Us?
