Job Description: We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Geography Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive school in Newcastle. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and be committed to helping students achieve their best in Geography. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom and contribute to students' understanding of the world around them. Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons to KS3 and KS4 students. Foster a positive learning environment and promote high expectations for student achievement and behavior. Assess, track, and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary. Encourage students' curiosity about the world, helping them develop analytical and critical-thinking skills. Collaborate with other faculty members to create a cohesive learning environment and support curriculum development.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. A degree in Geography or a related subject. Experience teaching Geography at the secondary level, preferably within the UK. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students. Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willing to apply for one).
