We are working with a fantastic commercial property firm looking for a Senior Planner to join their team. Across the country, the Planning team is currently engaged on a wide variety of projects, including Housing and Economic Need Assessments, Employment Need Assessments, Housing Land Supply Reviews, strategic portfolio reviews and site identification, socio-economic assessments, and a wide variety of projects in between. The team has a varied portfolio of clients, and the vast majority of work is repeat business or on recommendation, endorsing the quality of our work. We work across the UK on a day-to-day basis on a variety of schemes of all shapes and sizes, dealing with a range of issues including major brownfield regeneration sites or heritage and conservation matters. The work carried out by the team is diverse and rewarding, having a direct impact on our clients' business and providing true value. The services we provide cover: Evidence base preparation (a key component of this role) Dealing with planning policy and site appraisals Local plan promotion and monitoring Section 106 negotiations Expert witness / planning appeals If successful, this position would see you working in our Planning team (ideally based in the North, but open to various locations). The position would involve close work with our key Director on a day-to-day basis, engaging on a number of different projects and pieces of work. As a Senior Planner, you will be involved in your own fee-earning work and gaining a greater degree of client exposure on a regular basis. In the position, we will work with you to gain increased client exposure, develop and improve on your business development skills and experience, and work with you to mentor and manage junior members of staff. As these skills develop over time, the business will look to your next stage of career progression and beyond. Minimum Requirements
