London, England, United Kingdom UK Recruitment Minimum Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Strong understanding of single and multi-mode fibers Expertise in GPON Technology, FTTH/FTTX, FTTM, and other telecom technologies Extensive experience in supervising cable installation teams in telecom network Outside Plant (OSP) and Multiple Dwelling Unit (MDU) environments Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cable Supervisor to oversee the efficient installation and maintenance of telecom network infrastructure, including both outside plant (OSP) and multiple dwelling unit (MDU) environments. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of fiber optic technology, productivity management skills, and hands-on experience with various installation methods and technologies. Utilize extensive experience in telecom network OSP and MDU environments to effectively supervise cable installation teams and ensure project goals are met. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the differences between single and multi-mode fibers, guiding team members in selecting appropriate fiber types for specific applications. Maintain productivity objectives established by higher management, implementing strategies to optimize workflow and resource allocation. Oversee underground, overhead PIA, and trenching telecom network installations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications. Leverage expertise in GPON Technology, FTTH/FTTX, FTTM, and other telecom technologies to support project execution and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise. Facilitate the splicing of single-mode and multicore fiber optic cables, ensuring precision and accuracy to maintain network integrity. Provide mentorship and training to team members to enhance their technical skills and ensure adherence to industry best practices. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to address project requirements, timelines, and deliverables effectively.
