“AWP remains one of the strongest organisations I’ve had the pleasure to work with in relation to supporting people’s career, and encouraging them to learn new skills and achieve ICE qualification status.” We have both office space at Pynes Hill in Exeter and a hybrid working policy to provide flexibility and opportunities for remote home working. AWP is a partnership as the name suggests, and we take pride in sharing our success with everybody that has contributed towards it. That’s why everybody at AWP qualifies for our quarterly profit-related bonus scheme, and we think that’s pretty unique in our industry. The Role The varied role will focus on providing engineering input to the detailed phase of projects and the preparation of infrastructure designs for technical approval and construction. You can expect to be working on a number of projects at any given time and you will report to, and be mentored by, one of our management team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to gain a wide range of further experience in civil engineering consultancy. About You With a degree in civil engineering and around 3+ years’ already under your belt working in the industry, you would have gained some experience in infrastructure design, engineering input to scheme masterplans, Reserved Matters submissions, and the S38, S278, S104 approvals process. We are looking for people proficient in AutoCAD with good written and spoken communication skills and an ability to demonstrate effective teamwork. Working experience of Microdrainage, Flow, Site 3D, and Civils 3D may have featured in your career to date, but full training can be provided where needed. Ok, sounds good - so where do I apply? All you need to do is drop a line to enquiries@awpexeter.com. A copy of your CV, together with a few words about how you could see yourself at AWP, would be great. We can then look to set up an initial chat over the phone, online, or in person over a coffee. ... and finally If you haven’t done so already, check out the project pages of our website to see the kinds of schemes we’re working on and the clients we work closely with. You can also find out more about the team, culture and ethos, and the other training and community activities that we are involved with.
