Their technology is delivered to customers in two ways: A white-label platform that their customers can brand before offering to end customers. It has recently completed a large funding round and is in the middle of significant change.

You would be responsible for re-inventing the fundamental reporting processes. This means everything from how financial data is collected to how it is reported. Therefore we are looking for a hungry financial controller who wants to make a strategic contribution to the business.

Your responsibilities Looking after a team of two direct reports Partnering with technology and operational teams to develop automated finance and accounting processes - enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of all financial reporting Owning the consolidated general ledger (GL) key subsidiaries and accounting system Coordinating accounting and periodic closing processes for consolidated group results and key UK and EU subsidiaries Overseeing periodic financial and regulatory reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the UK/EU's regulatory framework for financial services Helping to lead statutory and regulatory audits Coordinate and help manage the group's tax compliance Contributing to and defining the accounting infrastructure, as well as financial control processes and procedures Supporting the operational reporting and forecasting processes of the business Who you are You have a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent), obtained whilst training at a leading accounting firm You have 5+ years of professional accounting experience (2+ years PQE) with strong accounting knowledge and proven experience with both IFRS and consolidated financial reporting A desire to improve the efficiency of your processes (through automation and integration) on top of a desire to do the core parts of the role It would be a bonus if you have Previous experience in a fast-moving FinTech organisation or regulated financial services firm Professional experience of PowerBI, PowerPivot, SQL and/or Alteryx The position is either FULLY REMOTE or HYBRID.
