The position of the Digital Technical Leader will reside within the Digital Systems and Solutions Team (DSS) within Digital & Data Solutions organization, which drives the digitalization and data initiatives within the Siemens AGT business. The Technical Lead is a pivotal role within DSS team, responsible for guiding the technical direction and execution of projects, ensuring high-quality code/product, leading the work and activities of a team of developers within a Scrum Setup and Agile Development. The Technical Lead is both a hands-on developer (and might act as a lead developer on complex situations) and a strategic thinker, capable of understanding the big picture while also delving into the details of coding and system design. This is a multifaceted role that oversees the technical aspects of solution design, software development, and implementation. Understanding and analyzing requirements, developing cloud-based backend and web-frontend, using state-of-the-art technologies. These individuals bridge the gap between development, operations, business, project managers, and stakeholders implementing strategies that improve efficiency, reliability, and speed in software delivery. The role demands a combination of leadership skills, deep technical understanding, and a passion for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) methodologies. Key Responsibilities Technical Guidance:

Define and maintain the technical vision and strategy for projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices. Technical Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Architecture & Design:

Ensure adherence to architectural design, develop technical specifications and designs, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. Conduct code reviews and set coding standards. Collaboration and Management:

Collaborate with project managers, product owners, scrum master, Solutions Architect, and other stakeholders to plan sprints, estimate workloads, and track progress. Problem-Solving:

Address technical challenges, research and implement solutions, and make informed decisions to overcome obstacles. Quality Assurance:

Ensure the quality of the codebase through rigorous testing, code reviews, and the implementation of best practices for software development. Communication:

Serve as the primary technical point of contact, effectively communicating complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Process:

Ensure process is followed, documentation is generated in a progressive approach, and ensure the process keeps refining and improving. Release Management:

Oversee the release process, ensuring reliable and consistent delivery of software products. Develop and enforce release policies and standards. Automation:

Implement and maintain automation tools for build, test, and deployment processes. Ensure that the automation infrastructure supports the needs of the development and operations teams. Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):

Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines. Optimize the flow from code commit to production deployment, minimizing manual intervention. Documentation:

Ensure comprehensive documentation of systems architecture, deployment processes, and release notes for clear communication and future reference. Collaboration and Training:

Work closely with cross-functional teams to align DevOps strategies with business goals. Provide training and guidance to team members on DevOps best practices and tools. You will contribute by bringing your experience, fresh ideas, and creative thinking to help the team create amazing digital solutions. You will focus on creating Business Value, amazing User Experience, and exceptional Quality. How You’ll Make an Impact Integrate cloud services in existing tool landscape. Collaborate with peer organizations, quality assurance, and end users to produce cutting-edge software solutions. Troubleshoot code level as well as design problems quickly and efficiently. Estimate effort of the team's backlog items together with product owners and relevant Board members. You will be responsible for on-time deliveries for the major project milestones. Become part of an internationally distributed team of developers and engineers. Required Qualifications, Experience and Skillset 3-5 years of experience leading a team of full stack developers. Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Capable of working with cross-functional and global teams. Bachelor's (or higher) Degree in Computer Science. More than 8 years' experience with web development. Highly experienced in C#, .Net core, ASP .Net, Entity Framework, and Web API. Experience with Python, flask/Django. Able to develop APIs and RESTful services. Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake for database management. Experience with Angular front-end development. In-depth knowledge of Cloud (AWS) and Edge Computing, and DevOps practices. Experience with containerization using Docker. Excellent analytical skills, initiative, and problem-solving attitude. Experience of working in an agile team and are a team player. Communicate clearly and effectively both in writing and in person. Fluent and proficient in communicating in English. Attention to detail to help identify errors in code. The ability to juggle multiple tasks and to be able to organize and prioritize to keep projects on track. Self-Motivation and Independence to complete tasks. Works effectively with teams; is a team player and meets deadlines.
