Onsite working

is expected for 3

Senior Mechanical Engineer . In this role, you will provide technical expertise in remote handling technology, specializing in areas such as machinery and mechanism design, welding techniques, lifting and handling procedures, remote maintenance design, systems engineering and integration, and fusion environment design considerations (including radiation, magnetic fields, and heat). Your critical technical expertise will drive the delivery of remote handling equipment for both fusion and non-fusion applications in challenging environments, following established project methodologies. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Coordinate engineering projects delivered by a multi-disciplinary team. Perform calculations from first principles as needed. Review designs and calculations performed by team members. Produce technical documents and specifications. Work effectively as part of a larger team. Support procurement and manufacture of robotic devices. Conduct quality verification and testing activities. BEng in a relevant subject or equivalent professional experience. Experience in the design and delivery of complex Remote Maintenance systems or equivalent machinery. Chartered Engineer as part of a professional engineering institution. May act as a work package manager and manage the budget for their own scope of work.
