We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Specialty Doctor in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful department.
The appointee will collaborate with multi-disciplinary CAMHS colleagues to deliver effective, efficient, evidence-based care to children, young people, and families in the field of adolescent mental health and to support rapid discharge from inpatient care and ongoing treatment in the CPFT Home Treatment Team.
The successful appointee will be asked to fulfil various duties, such as: Work flexibly with The Darwin Centre for three days a week and the home treatment team two days a week, focusing on supporting the discharge of patients. Support the home treatment team consultant with medical monitoring of patients in the HTT. Provide psychiatric assessment and treatment of children and young people admitted to the Darwin Centre and the Home Treatment Team. Be supervised and supported by the Consultant doctors in each service. Work alongside team colleagues to address any safeguarding needs that arise in accordance with local and national best practice standards. Ensure effective and timely documentation of clinical decision-making and care plans. Comply with the Trust's governance policy, including participating in supervision, clinical audit, annual appraisal, and re-validation with the General Medical Council. Participate in clinical governance activities associated with patient care and the smooth running of the service, including prescription management, care planning documentation, and the collection of routine data and outcome monitoring as specified by the Directorate Management Team.
