Job description: WHAT TO EXPECT This role will see you become a key part of the JLR Propulsion team, who together are tasked with delivering a powertrain system for an all-electric, modern luxury brand. As part of the wider Jaguar product team, the Jaguar propulsion team must deliver the complete propulsion system capable of meeting the needs of high performance, high efficiency, luxury vehicles for the future. With this role focussed on high performance electric propulsion system technology itis without doubt within one of the fastest growing & strategically important sectors for the future of JLR and the wider automotive industry. The Propulsion Integration Lead Engineer will be key to the teams success, supporting the delivery of these systems. We are looking for a highly motivated and focused engineer. You will work with our major engineering service providers as well as JLRs in house Powertrain department, who together will be engineering the future Jaguar propulsion systems. You will be focused on technical integration issues and supporting engineering teams to deliver on time through issue resolution, test case completion and design updates. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Support the Propulsion System integration into the vehicle, aligning with the internal and external engineering teams around the development and validation process. Provide a problem solving approach to delivery issues you identify within JLR and with our engineering partners and suppliers. Take an active role in agile principles in order to track project delivery. Collaborate with engineers in each key group, internally and externally, helping to progress the engineering challenges. As part of a small, flexible, high performance team you will need to act as a key interface to our engineering service providers, building key relationships. As this new team and supporting functions take shape, responsibilities will evolve, therefore flexibility and adaptability are required in order to achieve the best vehicles together with the best business plan. WHAT YOU'LL NEED Essential: Experience of HV battery systems or electric vehicle development. Good organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience of problem resolution using structured approaches Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
