Wenzel's The Bakers has been serving delicious baked goods and savoury treats for over 40 years. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has made us a beloved fixture in the communities we serve. Location: The role is based within our Bakery at The Wenzel's Head Office, Sunley House Olds Approach, Watford, WD18 9TB. Pay & Hours: We offer a competitive pay of £12-£14 per hour depending on previous experience as a cake baker. Working hours are 45 hours per week over 5 days, Monday - Sunday. Shift to start between 2.30am-6am. Benefits: Free meal provided every shift and 50% off all other food. Enrolment to company pension scheme. Holiday entitlement of 28 days including bank holidays. Day off for your Birthday - paid day off in addition to your holiday entitlement. Staff incentives including competitions and bonus schemes. Key Responsibilities & Requirements: As one of our cake bakers, you will be making handmade and high-quality cakes by mixing various ingredients to create the beginning foundations for our cakes. Previous experience in cake production is essential alongside familiarity with all professional bakery equipment including mixers and industrial ovens, but this is not essential. Experience with cake making techniques is necessary as you will be making products such as Viennese fingers, marble cakes, and cheesecakes. Seasonal products could include items such as mince pies. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment is desirable but not essential.
