ECC/OOH Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal
Become an ECC/OOH Vet at our well-equipped site
Plymouth Veterinary Group is a first-opinion multi-site practice with a flagship Hospital and branch surgeries serving all areas of Plymouth. You will be part of the dedicated night Vet team providing exceptional emergency care for our patients and their owners. The rota covers at least 2-3 nights on average per week (including weekend hours as well as weekdays). We are looking for someone with a real passion for emergency work and experience in handling surgeries and critical patients. A dedicated night team of Vets and Nurses provide the ‘Vetcall’ service for Plymouth between the hours of 6.30 pm and 8.30 am. A twilight nurse team bridges the day and night teams. We pride ourselves on having dedicated support for worried owners overnight with the Night Nurse and Night Vet remaining on-site at all times for patient care and any emergencies that may occur. The Hospital is open 24/7 365 days per year providing an out-of-hours service for our clients and other feeder practices within the area. The practice is well equipped with Digital X-ray, Ultrasound, Laparoscopy, and other diagnostic equipment, enabling most first opinion cases to be treated in-house and accepting exotic referrals. Plymouth is Britain’s Ocean City and presents excellent opportunities for land and water-based activities as well as a vibrant cultural scene, with good access to the Southwest or Europe.
