£55,000 - £60,000 The Company A leading managed and professional service business that delivers cutting edge technologies and solutions to mid and large enterprise customers is looking for a Technical Consultant to join their business and support them in delivering their exceptional service to a wide range of customers. They pride themselves at being at the forefront of technology, as one of the leading cyber security and incident response specialists in the UK. Delivering solutions to their customers across next generation security, cyber, infrastructure, cloud, and software defined networks. The business offers hybrid and home-based working, with some travel to customer sites meaning you need to be based in the Newcastle area. The business also offers support with training and development with working on the latest technology solutions, as well as support for earning vendor certifications. Technical Consultant Role Overview As Technical Consultant, you will take the lead on planning, deployment, and implementation of security upgrades to the business’s customers, with a predominant focus on delivery. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Project design across HL and LL. Be hands-on in the delivery of all projects-based assignments, including consultancy, migrations, and customer workshops. Act in a leadership role for clients, helping to guide them through projects. Use your knowledge and expertise to train junior members of the technical team. Facilitate client meetings to discuss design and architecture decisions. Working with both Technical and Non-technical staff, you will create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally. Skills and Experience Required for the Technical Consultant The business offers predominantly remote working, with a mix of on-site and home-based working. In return, the business asks that you have hands-on delivery experience with: Cisco / Fortinet / Meraki LAN, WLAN, FW. Azure, EntraID, Security policy management, IdP, DLP. On-prem active directory. Intune device and conditional access. M365 migrations, security hardening, management. NGAV & threat prevention solutions. Privileged Access Management. MDR experience with leading vendors. Virtualisation environment backup and DR solutions. Have customer liaising experience. Must be able to communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical customers.
