About the Role: As a Garage Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the garage, managing a team of technicians and support staff, and ensuring that high standards of service are consistently met. You will also be responsible for maintaining excellent customer relationships, managing the workshop, and ensuring efficient workflow. Your leadership will be key in driving the success of the business, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of the garage, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient service delivery. Lead, motivate, and manage a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff to ensure optimal performance. Oversee customer service, handling customer inquiries, complaints, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Monitor and improve workshop performance, including productivity, quality of work, and turnaround times. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and legal requirements. Handle staff scheduling and allocate resources effectively to meet demand. Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring the garage has the necessary tools, parts, and equipment. Assist with diagnostics and repairs as required, and ensure the highest quality of work is consistently delivered. Work closely with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans for the business. Manage financial aspects, including budgeting, cost control, and maximizing profitability. Ideally, You Will Have: Extensive experience in the automotive industry, with a strong understanding of garage operations. Proven management or leadership experience, ideally within an automotive garage or workshop environment. Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair, and maintenance. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers and staff professionally. Organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
