VAT Compliance Officer - Turkish Speaking Location:
Southampton (hybrid) min 3 days in the office As a
VAT Compliance Officer - Turkish Speaking , you will provide comprehensive advice, offering practical guidance on VAT regulations, cross-border transactions, and ensuring full compliance with VAT laws. Responsibilities: Provide high-quality VAT consultancy and business advice to your client portfolio continuously. Calculate and file European VAT returns meticulously and promptly, ensuring the highest level of accuracy. Advise clients on VAT liabilities, guide them on tax payments, proactively remind them of outstanding returns, and ensure compliance with European filings, EC Sales, and Intrastat reporting as required. Communicate with tax offices regarding clients’ accounts and obligations. Conduct VAT audits/investigations in collaboration with tax offices related to your client portfolio. Manage clients' accounts in coordination with the Credit Control Department. Stay consistently updated with VAT law and any changes in legislation. Represent the company professionally at events/webinars. Train, support, and develop new team members. Actively engage with Managers and Directors to suggest contributions for improving procedures. About You: Fluent in English & Turkish. Experience in Law/VAT/Accountancy/Finance. Confidence and excellent communication skills for client interaction (Email, Phone, and face-to-face). Ability to work well both in a team and independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organised with a proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
