Head of Market Access and Policy – UK & Ireland We are seeking an exceptional market access leader with a deep understanding of the NHS and wider policy landscape impacting on the current and future Amgen portfolio. You will be leading the access and policy team who will represent Amgen with a broad range of national healthcare system and policy leaders, working to navigate, understand and shape the healthcare policy environment aligned to the brand strategy. What you will do Develop & implement the UK market access and policy strategy, with oversight of Policy Committee deliverables. Ensure timely and robust approaches to optimise managed access entry agreements with NHSE/S/W/NI to secure reimbursement for launch brands. Working closely with the Head of HE to align on HTA and optimal access routes. Build credible relationships with key external stakeholders and partners ensuring high levels of knowledge relating to access routes/pathways and therapy area policy. Represent Amgen at senior stakeholder level, at key industry association meetings and actively shape industry strategy on priority issues. Align strategically with commercial leaders across Amgen to offer guidance on core access enablers and policies. Work closely with the Head of Healthcare Solutions to develop highly impactful solutions to drive local access. Lead the market access and policy function. Build & leverage Amgen’s reputation as a credible, science-based thought leader that makes meaningful contributions to patients, health systems and society. You should have the experience of driving value-based partnership working with the NHS and possess the drive and vision to positively challenge accepted access norms and work in partnership with the NHS to address significant unmet need for patients. You will understand what it will take to be successful in a lean, matrix structured highly focused environment demonstrating both operational excellence and insightful thought leadership. What we expect of you Strong track record in Market Access and Policy within the UK. Detailed knowledge of & working relationships with National and Local Commissioning and reimbursement processes for England, Scotland, Wales. Credible ability to network and lead with gravitas with senior payers and health system leaders. Commercial and/or access leadership experience. Demonstrated success in an ambitious commercial environment. Consistent track record in operating at a senior executive level and influencing. Well-developed analytical and strategic skills with an ambitious insight and a pragmatic approach. Strong track record of leading high performing teams.
