The Non-Linear Precious Metals Trader will be responsible for pricing, structuring, evaluating, and managing risks for the Precious Metal Options Trading book and will be the backup to precious metals linear activities (swaps/ leases/ deposits…).
The client base includes commodity investors, producers, and consumers.
Products include commodity derivatives, commodity index derivatives, and physical precious metals.
Main responsibilities of the role:
Daily Risk and P&L Reports Economic and financial data likely to affect the trading book Client contribution data on transactions undertaken Pricing for customers and sales teams Daily Flash P&L Daily P&L sign off for reports produced by Market Risk Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience
Key skills: • Working practice in commodities options trading • Good understanding of clients and client needs • Knowledge of usual trading media (brokers, intermediation platforms, etc.) and compliance procedures • Exposure and pricing experience in a broad set of commodities underlyings (precious & base metals)
Personal attributes: • Extremely rigorous and reliable, especially on deal pricing and book risk management and P&L production • Good resistance to stress and pressure • Fluid, clear, and efficient communicator • Team player who can also work independently • Fluency in English
