What you’ll achieve in the role: As our Assistant Financial Controller, your role will be pivotal in ensuring quality control over financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial and tax reporting for the organisation. You’ll be responsible for leading and managing a team, fostering a culture of development and continuous improvements. Key responsibilities include: Lead on setting and streamlining procedures and processes for general ledger and transactions. Manage the accounts payable, receivable and banking functions to deliver against service level agreement. Lead the month end close and balance sheet reconciliation process and timetable for the Group. Completion of tax returns (VAT, CIS, corporation tax). Support Financial Controller with preparation of the annual financial statements. What you’ll bring to Raven: For this role, we are looking for someone with the following: CCAB qualified. Experience of leading and developing a team. Knowledge of tax, in particular partial exemption VAT, CIS and corporation tax. Aptitude and energy for designing and implementing new procedures and processes. Practical knowledge of transactions functions (accounts payable, supplier management and customer relations). Experience of preparing statutory financial statements.
