Responsibilities:

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our finance department, supporting the accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include: Monthly and year-end closings: Perform essential tasks such as bank reconciliation, review of accounts payable and accounts receivable, balance sheet reconciliation, and P&L analysis. Internal reporting: Generate and distribute financial reports throughout the monthly close, providing valuable insights to support decision-making. External audits: Collaborate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits, assisting with their requests and ensuring compliance. Journal entries: Prepare and post monthly and ad-hoc journal entries under minimal supervision, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. Ledgers and schedules: Update depreciation, amortization, and inventory ledgers and schedules, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions. Ad-hoc reporting and special projects: Contribute to various financial analysis projects and assist with ad-hoc reporting requests, providing valuable insights to support business initiatives. Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should meet the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting: Possess a strong educational foundation in accounting principles and practices. 2+ years of accounting experience: Demonstrate a solid background in accounting operations, preferably in a corporate or financial services environment. 1+ years QuickBooks experience: Proficiency in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software is required. E-commerce exposure (Preferred): Experience in e-commerce accounting would be advantageous, as it aligns with our company's investment focus. Strong knowledge of GAAP: Display a deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and their application. Strong verbal and written communication skills: Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, conveying complex financial information clearly and concisely.
