The underwriting department is a fast-paced and dynamic environment working with a network of broker partners and cover holders.
Overview
Underwrite a range of specialist commercial lines products within agreed limits. Proactively manage and develop relationships with broker partners. Underwrite referrals from cover holders for risks that fall outside delegated authority limits. Conduct cover holder reviews to ensure effective performance of schemes.
What you need to show
Solid experience of underwriting UK commercial risks. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills combined with a proven track record of relationship management. Strong negotiating skills and abilities to empathise and influence. Ability to work independently and as part of a team while meeting set goals.
What is on offer
Salary can range from £45,000 to £65,000, depending on skills set and level of expertise. Permanent contract with benefits package. Hybrid working options. Scope to progress and develop your career.
