Reporting to the UK Managing Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for providing relevant financial (and non-financial) information at the right time in good quality to management and shareholders in order for them to measure/analyse current and drive future business performance. The Finance Manager makes sure that the Company is diligently managing invested capital and sufficient liquidity is available at any time. This role manages financial risks and makes sure the Company is compliant with tax and other relevant laws. The Finance Manager acts within the framework of financial management developed by forteq Group. They will build an efficient financial organisation and is responsible to train financial and non-financial management the relevant know how. Reports:

37.5 per week Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities:

Preparation and submission of management accounts reporting pack in accordance with Group timetable. Responsibility for annual budget and year end forecast preparation and submission in accordance with Group timetable. Prepare statutory accounts for audit and submission of Group annual reporting package. Maintain and analyse standard costing for reporting and valuation purposes. Support business performance management through KPI development and target setting. Prepare and submit VAT returns. Check Corporation tax returns prepared by the auditors. Preparing and submitting CAPEX requests to Group. Approve and authorise payments. Acting as a backup for weekly and monthly payroll (Sage) when key personnel are absent. Participate in management meetings. Prepare various reports as requested by management using MS Excel and the ERP System. Monitor all financial aspects in the ERP System, use ERP functionality to further automate processes and controls. Ensure company conforms with company law. Continuous learning linked to the function and the Company. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested. Knowledge:

Must have a relevant financial qualification such as a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, ACCA or CIMA qualification. Strong Excel skills and experience of Microsoft Office packages. Knowledge of IFRS standards would be advantageous. Experience:

Proven record of working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Experience of managing staff. Reporting to a Group. International finance experience. Designing or implementing financial processes (desirable). Ability to analyse problems and develop practical solutions. Proactive approach to improving financial processes. Management and leadership ability. Deep understanding of business principles and practices. Excellent communication skills and ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels. Benefits: 29 days annual leave rising to 34 (after 5 years’ service) inclusive of bank holidays.
