- Near Falmouth - £35,000 Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively assigned by a most unique SME services business located close to Falmouth, who seek to recruit a Finance Manager to join them on a long term interim basis. The duration of the assignment will be between 12-18 months and the contract can be commenced between now and April 2022 so could accommodate a notice period. The role is offered on a full time, onsite basis with some flexibility to negotiate hours/days worked (minimum 4 days). The role works in a picturesque location and as part of a friendly team of colleagues. This is a crucial role within a small but fast-paced business, and the successful candidate will essentially lead the financial operations of the business. This is a broad role that covers all aspects of the accounting lifecycle and works closely with the company directors and senior management team. Core focus of the role includes: Day-to-day bookkeeping using Sage-based software Regular production of management accounts with commentary to be reviewed in management meetings Management of the accounts payable and receivable function Bank reconciliations Preparation and submission of VAT returns Work closely with SMT in the production of financial forecasts and budgets Administer payroll information for submission to external bureau For this role, we are looking for an experienced Finance Manager, company Bookkeeper, or an Assistant Accountant ready to take a step up. Candidates may be AAT qualified, QBE, or part/fully professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). For this role, we are more focused on experience than the status of qualification. Good general IT experience, ideally using Sage and MS Excel, is essential as the business promotes modern technology and a paperless environment where possible. The role works within an energetic and passionate team across a range of departments, so excellent communication skills and a team-spirited attitude are essential.
