Audit Manager - Charities and Social Enterprises

Hi, We're Sayer Vincent and we're not your typical audit firm!

We've been around for quite a while... established in

1983

by three accountants committed to social justice. They saw the need for dedicated specialist audit and advice for charities and social purpose organisations. Our company is growing and adapting but we're pleased to say our founding ethos is still a drive at the firm to this day.

We make charities become more effective at what they do - which in turn helps their beneficiaries. So, if you are passionate about causes, working for us would be right up your street!

We really value what every individual brings to our business and believe our people are the most important part. Providing a supportive culture where everyone can learn, develop and grow whilst really understanding what they bring to the business.

About your role

Key responsibilities include: Leading and managing end to end client assignments within agreed budget and timetable. Leading, developing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients, from initial contact and tendering through to on-going fee negotiations, retention and expansion of our work with them. Leading, managing and developing people, actively participating in the training and development of our trainees. Contributing to implementation of technical changes, client training and the firm's development. About You

You are a Chartered Accountant with an audit qualification and experience in managing audits, including audits with a range of levels of turnover and complexity and interaction to FD/chief executive level. Experience in managing a portfolio of clients as well as participating in the new client tendering process. Have experience coaching more junior colleagues and ideally managing trainees going through their ACA qualification. You will have a deep knowledge and understanding of the charity and not-for-profit sector is desirable, along with the ability to deliver strategic planning and thinking. You will enjoy working with other people and possess good face to face and written communication skills, particularly when interacting with people from a non-financial background. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a matrix management structure and have a good ability to manage multiple deadlines. Work with a friendly, supportive team of people

We think our staff are the best people to be around! Join us and you'll be part of a brilliant group of Managers, who are committed to doing the best work for our clients. We place our values at the centre of how we manage our organisation, and we value you as an individual who brings a unique perspective and approach.
