We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Catering Manager to join our dynamic team within an NHS hospital setting. This role offers the opportunity to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital’s catering services on a temporary basis, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals to patients, staff, and visitors. As the Catering Manager, you will lead a team of catering staff, coordinate food production and service, and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with NHS and regulatory guidelines. Your responsibilities will also include managing stock levels, liaising with hospital departments to meet dietary requirements, and ensuring a smooth workflow in a fast-paced hospital environment. This is a temporary position requiring an experienced, flexible, proactive, and compassionate approach to managing catering operations while contributing to the well-being of patients and staff. Main duties of the job

As a key member of the Estates & Facilities Soft Services team, you will take charge of leading and managing the Catering services within the Trust. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of efficient, high-quality catering for patients, visitors, and staff. Your role will involve setting and achieving operational goals, continuously reviewing and improving the service to ensure it aligns with the Trust's objectives. You will work closely with the Head of Facilities as part of the Senior Soft Services Management Team, contributing to the overall success of the department. Excellent customer service to patients, families, and colleagues will be central to your work. Knowledge and Experience

Experience of managing revenue budgets and achieving challenging CIP targets. Education

Graduate level or equivalent in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years NHS catering experience or in a similar medium/large scale operation. Advanced level/Diploma in food hygiene. Intermediate qualification in health and safety regulations, COSHH and risk management. Skills
