Purpose The

Regional Tax Manager, EMEA

will be responsible for all direct and indirect tax matters within the EMEA region. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Global Tax Operations and will serve as a key, high-visibility member of the Global Tax Team. Primary responsibilities will include managing local country compliance and reporting for approximately 20 entities within the EMEA region liaising with the Poland-based EMEA accounting team along with external advisors. Responsibilities: Oversee direct compliance in appx. 20 jurisdictions within the EMEA region liaising with both EMEA accounting teams as well as local compliance advisors. Assist EMEA accounting teams with VAT calculations and related compliance. Lead local and U.S. GAAP reporting for EMEA region. Manage all tax payments, both direct and indirect for EMEA region. Project manage e-invoicing implementation. Respond to local country tax authority audits and notices, liaising with external advisors. Advise tax department leadership on tax developments for the EMEA region. Identify potential tax risks and cash savings opportunities, and lead initiative(s) to manage the risks or realize the opportunities. Work with external advisors to understand new laws and regulations across EMEA and their impact on PerkinElmer business and structure Basic Qualifications: University degree in accounting, finance, or similar business-related study 7+ years’ experience in a large multinational enterprise or public accounting firm supporting the EMEA region. Proven track record in working with tax authorities in the area of audits/examinations/controversy. Expertise in indirect tax (i.e. VAT) Familiarity with OECD BEPS (Pillar 1 & 2) Ability to work independently as part of a U.S.-based tax department. Excellent communication skills with the ability of summarizing technical tax matters. Experience working with external advisors in outsourced engagements Innovative mindset with ability to identify areas of improvement (process, controls, etc.) and propose best-in-class future state. Preferred Characteristics: Advanced degree in Taxation, Law or Accounting
