We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team at a thriving Manufacturing & Retail SME. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making and drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes Provide insightful analysis and commentary on financial performance to support decision-making Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Support ad hoc projects and analysis as required

The Ideal Candidate:

Newly qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Manufacturing or Retail sector Strong technical accounting skills and a solid understanding of financial principles Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail Proficient in using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and development

Requirements:

At least 3-5 years of experience in a finance role, preferably within a manufacturing or retail SME Proven track record of providing accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis Experience in driving financial performance and supporting business decision-making Familiarity with accounting standards and financial regulations Experience in developing and improving financial processes and controls Knowledge of inventory accounting and stock management
