Department The Centre for Teaching and Learning supports the academic development of teaching at the University by: advising on course and curriculum design enabling the adoption of new technology and digital resources assisting in piloting new teaching methodology. A key theme of our Access and Participation Plan is to provide targeted academic transition and skills support to students from backgrounds underrepresented at Oxford. About the Role We are looking for an individual to take on significant leadership of the Academic Skills Project as it reaches a critical stage in ensuring the completion of specific work strands and working with the project manager to develop a benefits realisation plan for the project and secure future funding. This senior role will oversee the consultancy service that supports the project across the collegiate university, in line with the project’s theory of change. The postholder will manage team members to deliver the consultancy and the development of new toolkits, guidance, training and development opportunities to support academic skills development at Oxford. About You Your strong foundation in educational development within higher education (HE) will enable you to contribute effectively to the project team and drive enhancements in academic skills development. You will have a proven track record of facilitating professional development opportunities for staff, providing inclusive, relevant, and engaging learning experiences. You will possess strong organisational and problem-solving skills, balancing multiple priorities and working autonomously with minimal supervision. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills allow you to communicate complex information clearly and effectively. Furthermore, your interpersonal skills enable productive collaboration with colleagues from various University departments and roles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
