Management Accountant

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Management Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial management skills and be adept in various accounting software applications. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, managing accounts payable, and providing strategic insights to enhance financial performance. Responsibilities - Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. - Conduct regular financial forecasting and budgeting activities to support strategic decision-making. - Utilise accounting software for effective financial management. - Monitor cash flow and assist in the management of working capital. - Prepare detailed reports for senior management to inform business strategy and operational improvements. Qualifications - Proven experience in financial accounting or management accounting roles. - Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices. - Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or PeopleSoft is highly desirable. - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. - Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly. - Experience in mentoring or training staff is advantageous. - A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are a plus.
