The successful candidate will apply their specific subject matter expertise, related accounting principles and regulatory standards to effectively and efficiently carry out high value/highly complex accounting activities within their discipline. What you'll do:
Contribute to functional strategy development and prioritise operational deliverables
Advise and guide others within the team to ensure accuracy, good practice and adherence to prescribed standards
Assist in the interpretation of organisation goals and regulatory/legislative requirements
Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Apply technical knowledge of related accounting principles (such as GAAP) to carry out higher value/complex accounting activities
Manage the review and analysis of functional performance to identify progress towards business objectives
Contribute to the 'Business Optimisation' agenda by identifying profit opportunities and under-performance challenges
What you bring:
Extensive knowledge of financial discipline and overall Finance strategy
Technical understanding of service parameters and delegated authorities
Comprehensive knowledge of finance systems, processes and toolsets used in their discipline
Discipline specific technical expertise in relation to legal and regulatory requirements (including GAAP, FCA/Lloyds regulation)
Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation and technical writing skills
Ability to build strong business relationships across a global business
