We are actively recruiting for a job opportunity with an accountancy firm in Cambridge, available at Semi-Senior Accountant up to Senior Accountant level. The salary is negotiable and will of course depend on experience and qualification level, so is open within reason.
Responsibilities:
Undertaking moderate to large accounts preparation assignments, including the accompanying tax computations.
Preparing monthly management accounts and VAT returns where appropriate.
Reviewing team members’ work and own work before passing to the senior on the job.
Using initiative to resolve any client queries with minimal input from senior / manager.
Training / mentoring more junior colleagues.
Requirements:
Working towards ACA / ACCA.
Experience of working in an accountancy practice preparing sets of accounts.
Client facing experience.
Up to date working knowledge of VAT.
Experience of using Sage, Xero and QuickBooks Online.
