About us The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.

Job responsibilities The primary duties of this post will be reporting of surgical specimens with a particular focus on gastrointestinal in addition to skin or head & neck pathology. The department is staffed by a team of over 50 specialist Histopathologists.
The successful appointees may also be able to participate in the departmental postmortem rota.
The department is fully digitised and successful applicants will be expected to move towards digital reporting as part of the national drive to digitise Histopathology services.
