Please note this is a hybrid working role, with the requirement of on-site presence at the DSFS Finance Department, located at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. DSFS Ltd is seeking to recruit a successful candidate into the position of Management Accountant. The role will support a clinical division at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS FT. Building good working relationships with divisional colleagues will be important. The post holder will be a key member of the finance team with responsibility for ensuring all processes and procedures are in place to provide the Division with relevant, accurate and timely management information concerning financial and activity performance to support financial viability and achievement of targets. Main duties of the job

Provide leadership to the wider finance function including a proactive approach. Manage the preparation and agreement of annual budgets for specified divisions and maintain accurate records of all budget setting and budget movements. Manage the preparation and provision of accurate and timely information by the production of integrated financial and activity reports. Ensure quality assurance controls are in place for key outputs. Responsible for the monitoring and forecasting of financial performance on a monthly basis, incorporating the use of activity statistics where appropriate, and by applying relevant management accounting techniques. Proactively investigate variances and provide analytical reports on areas specifically requested by the Divisional Finance Partner or budget holder/manager. Working for our organisation

Qualifications and Training

Part-qualified accountant or significant relevant accounting experience Significant experience in a financial management role. Evidence of on-going professional or personal development; e.g. Continuing Professional Development Evidence of leadership development Experience

Experience at a senior level in a complex financial environment. Management Accounting Experience. Experience of working effectively in a team Track record of financial and non-financial achievements NHS provider or commissioner experience Experience of working with a Patient Level Information Costing System. NHS Contracting experience. Skills and Knowledge

Excellent interpersonal skills as required to interact regularly with senior colleagues inside and outside the organisation Ability to influence decision making Strong communication skills both verbal and in writing Able to engage, influence and hold the respect of a wide range of managers and clinicians.
