Job Ref No. ECC650172-6S Position Type: Early Years Pay Range: depends upon experience Position Start Date: 13/01/2025 Contract Type: Part-time Contract Term: Permanent Application Close: 12/01/2025 Midnight Date of Interviews: from 6 January 2025 Writtle Green preschool is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate Early Years Educator to become a valued member of our small dedicated team; ideally, 3-4 days per week at our community-based preschool. The preschool is open term time only and hours of work are between 8.15am and 3pm. The successful candidate must hold a full and relevant level 3 qualification or above and ideally a relevant SENDCo qualification, or be willing to undertake the necessary training. You will be required to support the Room Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day running of the room in her absence. You will also be required to undertake Safeguarding level 3 training, if not already held, to fulfil your role as one of the Deputy Safeguarding Leads. You will have a group of key children, with whom you will build a great relationship and with their families too. You will be responsible for all aspects of their learning and development, and be a great role model. Benefits for the successful applicant include:

Writtle Green preschool is a registered charity, number 1023360. The charity has a committee of Trustees who are registered with Ofsted. Last inspection was September 2024, graded good, registration 650172. The preschool is open to children aged 2-4 years, from 8.30am to 2.45pm, and operates term time only. (Same term dates as the infant & junior schools in Writtle with whom we enjoy a close relationship) Our purpose-built home is within The Beryl Platt community centre which was completed and opened in September 2020. We have a large dedicated, secure outdoor play area, laid mainly to Astro turf. An area is also set aside for story telling/gardening. There is a mud kitchen, large sand pit and a music den, as well as climbing equipment, reading den and the popular race track. We have a maximum of 18 places/morning session and currently have a waiting list. (19 in the afternoon session for children aged 3 years +) All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people.
