The Head of Improvement will provide leadership, development, and delivery of the Trust’s Improvement Strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall Trust Strategy. This role involves developing and delivering training programmes to build continuous improvement capability across all staff levels and supporting the deployment of the Trust’s Strategy throughout the organisation. Qualifications
Educated to master’s level or equivalent experience in the field of change management, programme management and improvement, such as Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Evidence of continuing professional development Coaching qualification Experience
Significant experience in delivering improvement and transformational project/programmes with evidence of leadership and management in the NHS and / or social care setting Experience of applying structured programme management processes Experience of working effectively with cross-departmental teams and organisational and system boundaries with competing priorities to deliver significant change Experience in a continuous improvement system, ideally in the NHS Previous experience of working in an Acute Healthcare environment. Experience of senior management and executive level coaching Knowledge
Highly specialist knowledge, application and experience in improvement science, change and programme management Knowledge of developing and deploying complex strategies in complex organisations Knowledge of best practice training approaches Knowledge of programme management office (PMO) processes and procedures Knowledge of NHS financial budget management Skills
Ability to provide leadership, development and delivery of long-term strategic plans, including translating strategic direction into deliverable and measurable outcomes Ability to influence complex organisational change to deliver successful improvements across multiple programmes of work Ability to communicate, through verbal and written methods, highly complex / sensitive information to a wide range of audiences within the organisation and externally Ability to build relationships and negotiate diplomatically with key stakeholders on complex matters High level of people management skills Ability to coach stakeholders from a variety of staff groups using best practice coaching methods Able to manage own work objectives and workload Additional Requirements
