Responsible for the strategic development of creative learning at JVC and leading the Learning Team, developing innovative skills pathways for young people and emerging creative professionals. Requires a motivated, resourceful leader with an enthusiastic and proactive approach. Key Responsibilities: Lead and further develop JV’s training programmes providing academic and organisational leadership. Ensure robust, consistent support to participants' experience, maintaining artistic and learning quality and assessment standards. Lead engagement and management of Guest Choreographers, Guest Tutors, Designers and Technicians. Book, promote and ensure smooth running of JV2 tours. Work with venues and stakeholders to maximise engagement and audience development opportunities. Work with the Artistic and Executive Directors on development of future programmes and initiatives. Oversee development and implementation of Training Programme alumni relations and initiatives. Oversee Creative Learning programmes, ensuring development & distribution of Learning Resources to support the Artistic and Touring work, including workshops and digital offers. Oversee development of a range of partnerships including schools, educational institutions, universities, arts organisations, local authorities and key stakeholders. Work with relevant staff, venues and stakeholders to maximise education engagement and audience development opportunities, eg workshops, Q&A’s. Proactively encourage engagement and participation of those currently under-represented in the sector and/or facing barriers to participation. Represent JVC in networks, meetings and at events helping raise profiles regionally, nationally and internationally. Work with the Executive Director on annual budgets, providing regular updates on income and expenditure. Identify and apply for appropriate funding. Oversee collation of quantitative and qualitative data based on project delivery and participants, reporting to funding bodies and partners. Contribute to Arts Council England’s reporting templates. Ensure compliance with Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, Child Protection and Safeguarding policies and all other relevant legislation, policies and procedures. Recruit, contract and line manage staff as appropriate. Ensure appraisals and informal reviews take place regularly. Expand, maximise and diversify opportunities afforded by the facilities to broaden the Creative Learning offer. Contribute to the smooth running of activities, ensuring risk assessments and necessary spaces, equipment and materials are available and appropriate. Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Developing, delivering and evaluating learning, participation and community engagement programmes. Writing and delivering Teaching, Learning and Participation strategies. Knowledge of Education and Performing arts sectors including higher and further education. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities. Flexible, efficient, proactive and positive approach. Writing funding reports, funding applications/proposals, managing these relationships internally and externally. Leading complex planning, administrative and operational processes within a creative environment, preferably at senior level. Project management skills, delivery focused with excellent attention to detail. Commercial awareness with good numerical skills and ability to understand and manage complex, fast-moving budgets. Salary : £35,000 – 40,000 per annum Contract : Permanent, full-time Responsible to : Executive & Artistic Directors Responsible for : Creative Learning team Location : Ashford, Kent with occasional regional, national and international travel Hours : 5 days per week (40 hours) (0.8 could be considered) TO APPLY:
