SESSIONAL GP WANTED FOR UP TO 8 SESSIONS STARTING ASAP - MARCH 2025. CANNOT HAVE WORKED FOR GENERAL PRACTICE PREVIOUSLY (LOCUMS WORK ACCEPTED) AND MUST BE LESS THAN 1 YEAR SINCE QUALIFICATION. ARE YOU A NEWLY QUALIFIED WHO HASN'T YET WORKED IN GENERAL PRACTICE? WOULD YOU BE LOOKING FOR A SHORT TERM CONTRACT? Following the release of ARRS GP funding we are looking for a newly qualified (within 1 year) to join Tadcaster and Selby Rural PCN on a fixed term salaried contract until 31st March 2025. We will consider applications for 8 sessions with a start date as soon as possible. Tadcaster and Selby Rural PCN is a well-established 3 Practice PCN with approximately 30K patients. We cover the large rural area surrounding Tadcaster, Sherburn in Elmet and South Milford Surgeries. The right candidate should be caring, dedicated and compassionate about patient care. They will also need an open and flexible attitude towards working with a variety of patient needs. You will be required to work over 3 Practices (3 sites) supporting our Practices through the winter period. All our Practices are rated good with CQC, 2 of which are training Practices. We work closely with the local Primary Care Network and other ARRS roles. Main duties of the job

Face to face and telephone appointments (acutes and routine). Checking and signing of repeat prescriptions. Administration dealing with patient medical queries, patient test results, referral letters (NHS/Private), tasks, emails and other paperwork relating to patient activity. Cover all the clinical management of the patients in surgery as appropriate including initiating investigations, reviewing results, making referrals to secondary care or to others as appropriate. Develop care and treatment plans in consultation with patients and in line with current Practice protocols. About us

South Milford Surgery & Bramham Medical Centre are part of the same partnership but the surgeries have separate patient lists and are members of different primary care networks. Job responsibilities

To work autonomously adhering to the GMC standards for good medical practice, responsible for the provision of medical services to practice population. We pride ourselves on delivering an excellent service of care whilst complying with the NHSE Contract, this involves working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team. The following are the main core responsibilities of a salaried GP. These will vary as workload dictates. Provision of care as detailed in the Primary Care Contract. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance. Effective management of acute and long term conditions. Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptions and other administrative tasks. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance. Accepting an equal share of the practice workload by working collaboratively. Work towards innovative practice and quality improvements within the practice. Assist in the work towards completing QOF across all practices. Attend and contribute to practice meetings as required. Support training of medical students from all clinical disciplines, this includes having students sitting in on clinics. Participate in practice audits as requested. Participate in the review of significant and near miss events applying a structured root cause analysis approach. Personal Responsibilities

Qualifications

Qualified GP (less than 1 year since qualification - to comply with ARRS). MRCGP Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP General Practice Certificate of completion of Training CCT. Experience

Evidence of continued professional development. General understanding of the primary care contract. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
