A tester responsible for delivering the BACB test strategy to ensure IT changes are built to the correct quality. Maximising the business and IT investment by mitigating business risks when implementing systems and IT processes through quality assurance and testing. The BACB IT estate contains both in-house and third party supplied Banking applications. Key Work Outputs and Accountabilities
Strong experience in all phases of software testing life cycle including Requirement Analysis, Test planning, Test design, Test execution and defect reporting and closure Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes Deliver testing for IT projects and BAU changes to agreed time, budget and quality tolerances as laid out in the test policy and business cases Experience in design, development and execution of automation test scripts Maintains and provides test progress reporting to the project team and key stakeholders Coordinate the testing activities during every stage of the test processes Actively participate in the test planning for IT projects and BAU changes with the IT Leadership team Undertake project test estimating, planning and tracking of projects and BAU changes Develop the test plan and schedule documentation for each project or BAU change Responsible for the delivery of high quality test deliverables Manage communications of testing progress Hands on test preparation and test execution Required Qualifications and Experience
Strong experience in Testing of Banking applications such as SWIFT, Treasury, Trade Finance and Banking Compliance tools Strong experience in testing the integration of applications and data feeds Strong Experience using selenium and Java tools Experience of testing MI/BI projects within a Banking environment Experience in Testing of upgrades and enhancements to Temenos T24 beneficial Well versed in developments in Banking Regulations and Technologies Strong user of JIRA, GIT and Confluence Demonstrable, full end to end project lifecycle experience Experience of Trade Finance, Commercial Finance, Treasury functions beneficial. Business Analysis experience in a Banking environment useful ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst certification Self-motivated with good communication skills
