to join a leading, high-end property development company and play a pivotal role in shaping their digital landscape. Our client is seeking a
hands-on, delivery-focused SharePoint expert
to lead and implement several key projects. This is not a project management role – rather, they need someone who can hit the ground running, taking charge of the design, implementation, and enhancement of SharePoint environments. Key Projects & Responsibilities: Current State Enhancements: Remediation of Migration Issues : Addressing residual issues from the Q1 2024 migration from Box to SharePoint, including long file path problems and providing user training. Taxonomy Redesign : Restructuring SharePoint folder taxonomy to improve usability, resolve sync issues, and ensure seamless access. Rearchitecting SharePoint : Introducing a structured taxonomy, tagging system, and email filing. SharePoint Templates : Creating project templates to reflect the company’s intranet aesthetics and standardizing project workflows. Client Portfolio Management Portal: Portal Design & Development : Creating a SharePoint front-end template that enhances the client portfolio management team’s systems and data, with an eye towards usability and design. Custom Views & Security : Enabling different views for various user groups and implementing role-based security access. External Access Considerations : Designing the portal to be visually attractive, as it will be extended to external clients in future iterations. Intranet Development: Launch of a Simple Intranet : Designing and implementing the first version of the company’s intranet, aimed at streamlining access to information, key resources, and knowledge sharing across teams and projects. Knowledge Management : Ensuring easy access to internal resources such as templates, briefing papers, expert directories, and important links. Who We’re Looking For: Experience in SharePoint Development : Strong hands-on experience in designing, structuring, and implementing SharePoint solutions (preferably SharePoint Online). Solution-Focused : You should be a self-starter who can dive straight into the technical aspects of the project, from problem-solving migration issues to designing sleek, functional interfaces. Design-Led Approach : The ability to balance technical functionality with a strong visual aesthetic is key, especially for client-facing portals and intranet designs. Understanding of Information Architecture : Strong experience with SharePoint taxonomy, metadata, and best practices for managing document libraries and portals. Role-Based Security & Permissions : Knowledge of implementing role-based access controls (RBAC) and managing security across SharePoint sites. Training & Support : Ability to deliver user training to ensure successful adoption and ongoing user engagement with SharePoint tools. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact, helping a high-end property development company maximize the value of their SharePoint investment. If you’re a hands-on SharePoint specialist ready to take ownership of exciting projects and deliver results, we’d love to hear from you!
