The Financial Controller is an important role reporting directly to the CEO. This position will lead and support the existing accounting team, ensuring financial information is delivered accurately and on time. Supported by a finance team of seven, you will develop your coaching and leadership skills by delivering all financial reporting and tax requirements for the Group, as well as leading business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Longbeach has built a collaborative culture where everyone works together to get the job done. As the Financial Controller, you will be hands-on and supportive whenever necessary. Key Responsibilities: Lead the accounting team to ensure timely financial reporting. Oversee tax requirements and compliance. Manage business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Support team development and coaching. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant accounting qualification and be competent in all areas of financial management and reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an inquisitive mindset are essential. Experience consolidating company financial statements, familiarity with NZ tax legislation and reporting requirements, and experience in international trading activities are required. Experience in a business dealing with inventory and product costing would be advantageous. We seek an ambitious, passionate, and motivated individual with well-developed interpersonal skills.
