The appointed Production Director will have overall responsibility for production/manufacturing, quality, health and safety, and supply chain activities for a large team. Production Director - Role & Responsibilities - Manufacturing, Operations
Deliver on the operational KPIs for the site whilst simultaneously further developing a culture of continuous improvement and employee empowerment. Lead senior colleagues in manufacturing and engineering to contribute effectively to the growth strategy of the business. Comfortable leading the production management team. Detailed knowledge of quality, engineering, and health and safety required too. Strategically plan to deliver on the long-term vision of the company ensuring painless growth. Flexible attitude on a day-to-day basis. Firm and persistent when expressing views but a good listener comfortable changing course if given compelling reasons.

Of degree calibre with well-evidenced leadership and coaching abilities. Formal Lean and Continuous Improvement training preferred. Track record of lean implementation and development of a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement. Prior experience working for a manufacturer in a senior management/director post. Gravitas to lead a large team. Comfortable from shop floor to board room. Relationship builder able to increase cooperation across departments.
