We are currently seeking an experienced Head of Projects to join a well-established and ambitious M&E organisation. This role is pivotal in driving growth across existing contracts and expanding services with new clients.

About the Role: As the Head of Projects, you will have full accountability for the delivery of project activities, overseeing multiple residential electrical contract teams. You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects meet time, cost, and quality requirements, while also driving revenue growth and maintaining strong client relationships. This position is part of the senior leadership team, providing a unique opportunity to shape and influence organisational strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Full accountability for the delivery of all project activities across customer sites. Drive organic growth across core service streams and expand offerings to new clients. Lead and manage multiple residential contract teams, ensuring successful project delivery. Oversee the preparation of cost estimates, bids, and quotations for work packages. Develop and grow individual revenues on each site while maintaining financial constraints. Supervise, mentor, and develop electricians, project managers, and contractors. Act as the primary point of contact for client queries, maintaining strong relationships. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility. Identify opportunities for introducing new services to clients in the East and South East region. Provide regular reports on project status, financials, and key performance indicators.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and regulatory requirements. Proven track record of leading and developing engineering or technical teams. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritising and delegating tasks effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges. Demonstrable experience in driving growth and delivering value-driven solutions.

Desirable Attributes:

Commercial acumen and sales experience. Experience working in a professional service delivery environment. Recruitment of new staff or contract resources. Relevant certifications (e.g. PMP or Certified Electrical Contractor).
