The opportunity would suit a customer-focused transport management professional who not only has sound commercial and financial acumen but also possesses operational expertise in ensuring that the site runs as efficiently as possible. It is important that you have an enquiring mind, are detail-oriented, and are constantly looking at opportunities for continuous improvement. This will extend throughout all areas of the business to include operations, sales, customer satisfaction, H&S, leadership, and the people agenda. You will be detail-oriented and hold exacting standards when it comes to quality and compliance. You will have held O license and P&L responsibilities and it would be an advantage if you hold relevant H&S certificates (NEBOSH, IOSH).
The scope of this role is wide and varied and your man-management expertise cannot be underestimated; you will be a naturally energetic, motivational leader with drive and passion in what you do, capable of creating a collaborative teamwork ethic and an environment in which people feel they are really part of the success of the business.
You will inspire a culture based upon teamwork, recognising and rewarding exceptional performance and conversely addressing any areas of below-standard performance consistently and fairly. Exceptional communication skills and an ability to give direction will be essential.
This is a great platform from which to further your management career in a business that is passionate about their people and quality of service and who can truly offer exceptional career progression in a dynamic organisation.
