Principal Consultant - Industrial Decarbonisation

Location: London Hybrid working (Other locations can be considered)

We are seeking a Principal Consultant with strong commercial acumen to join a team dedicated to advancing industrial decarbonisation solutions. If you have a strategic mindset and a proven ability to develop client relationships and win new business, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of sustainable industry.

About the Role: In this position, you will lead high-impact projects across industrial sectors, working with clients on decarbonisation pathways including electrification, CCUS, hydrogen, and other low-carbon technologies. The role emphasises business development, with a focus on identifying new market opportunities, preparing compelling proposals, and actively networking within the industrial sector. You will be the primary client contact, building relationships and ensuring that projects meet high standards for quality and timeliness.

With a hands-on approach to project leadership, you will guide a team of consultants, providing support in research, analysis, and strategic planning. You will also contribute to thought leadership in the industrial decarbonisation space, helping to shape market strategies and expanding a presence in this rapidly evolving field.

What We are Looking For: Candidates should have experience in consulting, particularly in energy or industrial decarbonisation. This role requires strong commercial skills, including an ability to understand market trends, navigate complex client environments, and deliver value-focused solutions. Leadership and problem-solving skills are essential, as you will guide teams and deliver insights that directly impact the client's business goals. Familiarity with hydrogen, CCUS, or electrification is an advantage, but we are primarily looking for someone who can drive business and client success in the decarbonisation journey.

Interested? Join a team at the forefront of sustainable energy consulting and work with leaders who are transforming industrial landscapes. This position offers career growth, global collaboration, and the chance to make a tangible impact on the transition to net-zero industries. If you're driven to deliver strategic, commercially focused solutions in a dynamic field, we'd love to hear from you!

About Us: Allen & York have been matching purposeful people with purpose-led organisations for 30 years. We partner with our clients and candidates on roles that build an understanding of climate change, promote sustainability and create inclusive and responsible organisations, working towards a sustainable world for us all.

Committed to inclusiveness in the workplace, we aim to increase diversity across all areas and therefore welcome applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of their ethnicity, race, gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, age, or whether or not they have a disability.

Let us help build a better world, together.
