Senior Design Engineer - Avionics .

This organisation works with novel technologies and a specialised varied fleet of aircraft to allow for the completion of complex data-gathering missions effectively and safely.

You will be responsible for managing all design phases of technical projects as well as handling scheduling, estimating and completion of design data.

About the role: Design circuit layouts and diagrams, electrical assemblies, systems and harnesses and the compilation of associated documentation for the design of changes to aircraft electrical/avionic systems and for new components/systems. Provide engineering guidance to other departments, help to train new engineers, and keep up to date with industry trends and issues. Conduct engineering investigations and prepare reports for the leadership and work closely with customers and suppliers to integrate marketing, sales and project management.

About you: Degree or HND/HNC or OND/ONC in electrical engineering or equivalent experience. A clear understanding of aircraft avionic/electrical component and/or system design requirements, materials and manufacturing processes. Proficient in CATIA, Solidworks or AutoCAD. Able to produce calculations in support of the design activity. A working knowledge of regulatory requirements, e.g., EASA, JAA, FAA would be desirable.

Key information: Senior Design Engineer - Avionics Salary: £54,000-£61,000 Plus Benefits Location: Bournemouth International Airport Hybrid Working: 3 Days On-Site Per Week

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
