Description

Due to business growth, Urban Security Systems & Fire are now looking to recruit another apprentice. The apprentice will initially be paired with existing engineers and mentors.

Each day can be different depending on the client and jobs that are to be completed. This will include, but is not exhaustive to, the installation, repair, servicing, commissioning, and maintenance of fire and security systems.

Probation period: 6 months.

Entry requirements

Ages 21+ due to van insurance Clean driver's licence Live 10-15 miles from the office Pass an enhanced DBS Maths and English GCSEs at grade 4/C or above Training to be provided

Fire Emergency Security Systems Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.

Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training in block release at their Watford centre. You will attend the centre one week every eight weeks.

You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.

You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company requires you to complete.

The employer will mentor and coach you on the job. You will also shadow, learn, and get involved in all aspects of Fire and Security alarms.

Future prospects

To become a multi-skilled engineer.
