Job Description

Role: Operations Director – Strategic Accounts (Finance) Location: London, UK Employment type: Permanent Salary: up to £90,000 Our client is a leading provider of end-to-end connectivity solutions, delivering structured cabling and managed services globally. This role will oversee the operational strategy and delivery for strategic accounts in the finance sector, working globally to ensure exceptional performance, efficiency, and compliance. Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategies to meet the unique needs of strategic finance accounts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships. Manage budgets, resource allocation, and supply chains to meet financial and margin objectives. Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, setting clear KPIs and supporting professional growth. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows. Develop quality management systems and ensure adherence to all relevant standards and safety protocols. Work closely with other operational and sales teams to align strategies, share resources, and drive consistent delivery. Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to optimize costs and service quality. Key Qualifications: Experience:

At least 10 years of experience in a senior operations or project management role within the data centre or construction industry, with a strong background in white space fit-out or similar complex environments. Leadership:

Demonstrated ability to lead large multi-disciplinary teams, manage complex projects, and ensure successful delivery in a fast-paced and highly technical environment. Technical Expertise:

Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including electrical and mechanical systems, cabling, fire suppression, and cooling solutions. Familiarity with the latest technologies and best practices in white space fit-out. Project Management:

Proven track record of managing large-scale construction or fit-out projects from inception to completion. A formal project management qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) would be an advantage. Client-Focused:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Problem Solver:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to overcoming project challenges. Commercial Acumen:

Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiation. Health & Safety Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction and data centre sectors, with a proven track record of promoting safe working practices. Adaptability:

Ability to adapt to changing project demands, work under pressure, and deliver results within tight timeframes. Desired Attributes: Strong leadership and motivational skills.
