Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire (Hybrid working)
Salary: From £38,000 per annum
This job is not your typical engineering role. No two projects will ever be the same, and you’ll often be analyzing or designing things that have never been done before.
Are you the right fit for this position?
You should be a chartered engineer with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering (Structural Engineering will also be considered if you have worked with Dynamic Structures).
You can take a concept and turn it into the best design works using 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings. You pay the utmost attention to detail, analyze risk, and carry out the necessary calculations to ensure your designs function exactly as intended. You know the fundamentals of mechanical engineering inside out.
You have experience designing moving structures, such as moving platforms, lifting equipment, or swing bridges.
You are commercially minded and able to coach and mentor junior engineers who work alongside you.
