About the role:

Primarily supporting a product team within our European division, delivering product design – from identification of customer problem statements and clarification of commercial objectives; through to discovery, ideation, solution definition, customer testing, and detailed design development for production and beyond.

Our product designers are some of the business's most passionate and informed customer advocates. Part of your role is to understand what traders think, feel, see, and do, as well as build an understanding of why. Your job is to create meaningful and impactful customer experiences across a range of our customer touchpoints, with a core focus on helping us improve our account opening and onboarding experience.

Who are we:

Hello, we’re IG Group. We’re a global, FTSE 250-listed company made up of a collection of progressive fintech brands in the world of online trading and investing. We believe in financial freedom, and our purpose is to help ambitious people achieve it. Around 400,000 people use our groundbreaking technology and forward-thinking platforms to trade the financial products they know and love.

What you'll do:

Run the entire design process from ideation to implementation, including UX, UI, and prototyping.

Work with pace and energy to prototype, test, and iterate design ideas.

Proactively observe, synthesize observations into insights, and implement learnings from customer testing and research.

Use excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Collaborate closely with other UX and product designers, product owners, and developers to create a highly efficient delivery team.

Bring your thought leadership to our design process, helping us develop and improve.

Continually share and align your work with the wider design team.

What you’ll need:

5 – 7+ years of hands-on product design execution and delivery.

Experience with optimizing onboarding funnels is a plus.

Experience in design within financial markets or a similarly complex product domain (e.g., medical or other highly regulated industries).

Ability to translate business and customer needs into elegant ideas that are perfectly executed.

Slick design skills – typography, grid systems, cross-platform UI.

Strong appetite for complexity and data-driven design.

Comfortable with stakeholder management and justifying design decisions.

Ability to create working prototypes and demonstrate interactive design solutions.

Excellent presentation, storytelling, and communication skills.

Proven track record of delivering conceptual work.

An appreciation of modern design trends and patterns.

Keen attention to detail across all levels of your design process.

Mindset & Behaviors:

Curious, with an appetite to understand the world of trading and traders.

A tenacious and open-minded customer advocate.

Radically candid, sharing your point of view thoughtfully.

A passionate self-starter, able to generate simple solutions to complex problems.

Hyper-collaborative, valuing the views and ideas of all stakeholders.

The perks:

Competitive salary.

Flexible Benefits Package (12%).

Private medical cover for you and your family.

Life insurance.

Contribution to gym memberships.

25 days holiday, with additional days for your birthday and voluntary work.

Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning Platform.

A comprehensive global and local onboarding process.

Employee-led networks fostering an open, diverse, and inclusive culture.

Enhanced parental pay and leave, with support for parents.

Where you’ll work:

We follow a hybrid working model, promoting diversity, flexibility, and close connection. You’ll be welcomed into a diverse and inclusive workforce with a lot of creative energy.
