- Hours of work: 37.5 per week Embracing the latest technology and innovation, the facility will offer fully equipped surgeries, intraoral cameras, and digital radiography. Annual leave: 25 days per annum, pro-rata entitlement plus bank holidays. Responsible to: Chief Executive Officer East of England. In line with current good practice and optimum care delivery, this role presents an opportunity to deliver patient-centred care with a focus on prevention, stabilisation, and disease management. Purpose of the Job:

To be part of a wider dental team providing clinical and managerial leadership to dentists and dental therapists/hygienists, including recruitment, training & development, supervision, and direct line management. This will include providing a full range of dental care to patients of the dental service, from routine examinations to advanced specialist treatments. It is expected that clinical work will be integral to this leadership role. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Clinical: Undertakes thorough examination and assessment of adults and children. Undertakes the assessment and treatment planning of patients referred by medical and dental colleagues. Undertakes the diagnosis, selection of appropriate periodontal techniques, and delivery of periodontal care effectively. May undertake more advanced periodontal treatment procedures if trained to do so. Performs routine exodontia and/or simple surgical extractions. May undertake more advanced surgical procedures if trained to do so. Minimum Requirements: Registerable dental qualification (e.g., BDS/LDS). Relevant postgraduate education and qualifications (e.g., Diploma in Special Care Dentistry). NHS Performer Number and GDC registration. Knowledge of NHS Dental Services. Teaching/training experience and knowledge of current dental issues. Experience working in a community/salaried dental service. Demonstrated commitment to continuing education. Experience in a leadership role within general practice. Understanding of health and safety management implications in corporate environments. Experience providing dental care under general anaesthesia and/or inhalation sedation. Wide range of clinical skills, with a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience. Ability to provide advice and support to colleagues or managers on ethical issues.
